Welcome to milesclarkphoto.com.
This page was written so that you can learn a little about myself, my passion, experience and origin. I was born and raised in London, England and come from a very creative family. My father was an advertising guru, my mother is a painter, my brother a professional fashion photographer and my sister in media and radio. Since a young age I was submerged in the artistic world and knew that it was a passion for me.
After the standard school years, i went to Middlesex University where i completed my art foundation Diploma and then onto Southampton University to complete my Degree in Graphic Design.
When I finished my degrees I was a little bit perplexed about what career I wanted to do and where I wanted to live. Being an adventurous person and a strong passion for snowboarding I decided to move to Whistler B.C. Once I stepped on the fresh powder of the west coast I was immediately optimized by the majestic portrait that stood before me.
My adventure did not only bring me to B.C but also the beautiful province of Quebec. I had the opportunity to work for two photographers where I learnt a great deal about how the industry works and the technical skills to survive. In 2010, I realised that my passion for photography was being slowed down by the language barrier in Quebec. I decided to move back to B.C. It also helped that the 2010 Olympics were being held. I was lucky enough to get my Canadian residancy and having now moved back to BC i call Vancouver my home.
Future goals… well, I’d like to have a few people come aboard my team, be set up with a nice studio downtown with a list of great clients and keep my work at a very high standard. I don’t think that’s too much to ask! I’m a happy, outgoing person who is always interested to hear people’s feedback or answer anyone’s questions, so please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for visiting,
Miles
